In a career that spans over half a century, her name is synonymous with brilliant deception, ingenious puzzles, and the surprise denouement. By virtually inventing the modern mystery novel, she earned her title as the Queen of Crime.

David Timson’s screen credits include
Poirot: Evil Under the Sun, The Bill, Nelson’s Column, and
Casualty. His theatre work includes
Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and
A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has worked extensively in radio and has read many audiobook titles.

From AudioFile

Audio Renaissance has a way with narrators, and here is a fine Christie presentation. David Timson captures the the bombastic Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, with gleeful flair. Timson uses precise diction and shaded characterizations, calling to mind reader Patrick Tull (who reads many things, including seafaring books by Patrick O'Brian), but not as querulous. The result is excellent. The story involves several murders on a Nile riverboat. D.R.W. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine--
Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
