Emily Cavendish is found dying in her country home, Styles. She has been poisoned and the dose proves fatal... Her guest, Captain Hastings, enlists the aid of his friend, Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, who has recently arrived in England after escaping from the Great War in Europe... With no shortage of suspects, Poirot uses his famous ‘little grey cells’ to find the truth and uncover the murderer. Poirot’s first case in England was also Agatha Christie’s first published novel. It contains the mystery, characters, clues and red herrings which would become her trademark.
