Large Dyslexia-Friendly Print. Gregor Samsa, a travelling salesman, whose parents and sister rely on him for a salary, wakes one morning to found himself metamorphosised into a ‘monstrous verminous bug’. As he struggles to come to terms with his new form, Gregor realises that he's late for work. His mother, then his father and sister, try to rouse him by knocking on his bedroom door. His supervisor, arrives to inquire after him. With his parents pleading with the office manager outside his bedroom door and his sister sobbing, Gregor scuttles to the door and opens it revealing to everyone his shocking new appearance.
