Jane Austen was one of the greatest writers in all of literature. Austen's influential novels often centered around the dependence of women on marriage in order to secure their social standing. Austen remains one of the most widely read authors today and most students can not get through high school without reading some of her work. Is it too late for love? Could a past mistake be undone?
