Anne Elliot is a young Englishwoman, whose family relocates to lower their expenses and get out of debt. Their home is rented to an Admiral and his wife. Navy Captain Frederick Wentworth, who is the Admiral’s brother in law, had been engaged to Anne previously, and as fate would have it they meet again. Persuasion is a novel about many humorous encounters for young Anne as she ponders the issues of a second chance at love and marriage.
