Persuasion by Jane Austen was Austen’s last completed novel and was first published after her death. Persuasion is the story of Anne Elliot, a 27-year-old with few prospects who had been persuaded to break off her engagement when she was 19. This book explores what happens when the two formerly engaged lovers meet again.
