Meet Julius Carmichael: First Day Blues

"Meet Julius Carmichael: First Day Blues" is the first in what will be a series of books about Julius Carmichael, and eleven year old African-American boy. In "First Day Blues", Julius is all set for his first day of school. Everything is brand new, and he will have a male teacher for the first time. Things take a turn for the worst when he meets his new classmate, Beatrice Willingham. Julius must then figure out how to salvage, what was supposed to be the best day of the year.
