Master and Man

The story follows a wealthy landowner named Vasili Andreevich Brekhunov and his servant, Nikita, as they journey across the frozen Russian countryside to purchase a piece of land. Along the way, they become lost in a blizzard and take refuge in an abandoned cabin. As they struggle to survive, Vasili comes to recognize the value of human life and the importance of empathy and compassion, leading to a transformation in his character.
