The Death of Ivan Ilyich, the Kreutzer Sonata, and Other Stories

This novel tells a story of life and death related to Ivan Ilyich, a high court judge in St. Petersburg. This is a masterpiece of Tolstoy's late fiction and many people have different interpretation on its end. The Kreutzer Sonata was published in 1889 and immediately censored by the Russian government.
