During the early years of my son's life, he experienced speech delays along with other factors. I sought help from a psychologist to diagnose the issues and was informed that one of the diagnoses could be reversed with time and effort. This required my full commitment to being a driving force in achieving a life-long goal. Early intervention and outside resources were crucial in helping us perform tasks at home. We made it a priority to perform these tasks every day, no matter what was going on around us. We were determined not to let the diagnosis define us. As a meaningful gesture, we wrote a book of prayers to share with others, which was a joint effort between me and my son.
