Product Description Every Rose has its thorns...Rose Chance is a dedicated Portland physician who loves shoes, clothes and the finer things in life. Her colleagues call her Dr Vogue, and she won’t even look at a man unless he’s rich. And preferably titled. Her colleague Matt Vasilopolous is a Greek immigrant made good. He dresses like a schlep, always needs a shave and doesn't seem to own a comb.Rose can’t stand a man who looks like a tramp. Matt loathes a woman who looks down at him. But when they’re thrown together to save a life one day, and find themselves in the same wedding party the next, Rose and Matt can no longer deny the attraction between them. With an English baronet and his stately home in the offing, though, will Rose choose the man she's dreamed of her whole life or the one her heart craves? This is the fourth novel in the Take a Chance series of romantic comedies. All the books can be read independently, but are also connected. I love reading them and I love writing them. Often when I write a book a secondary character calls to me. With a series I can heed that call. Of course, in designing this very untraditional Chance family, I knew I'd have lots of stories to tell. This series was born with the idea of a couple who gave birth to some children and collected others along the way. These are people who were born to parent. Their deep belief was that no child would ever feel like an outsider, so they simply refused to differentiate between the children they bore and the ones they adopted. The rule in the house is that at the age of sixteen you can ask about your true parentage and they'll tell the truth. No exceptions. It's been fun to write about these kids, now grown and starting careers, falling in love, beginning their own families. I hope you'll join me on this journey as each character has to Take a Chance.Although it's a series, every book stands alone. No books end with cliffhangers. I promise!!    About the Author To stay updated on all things Nancy including new releases, recipes and bonus extras please sign up for Nancy Warren's newsletter at nancywarren.net. Her influences are: Jane Austen, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Jenny Crusie, Susan Isaacs and Jennifer Weiner to name a few. Naturally, when she began writing, she chose romantic comedy featuring -- you guessed it - funny, daring women and the men who eventually win them. She believes in happy endings, the antidepressant effects of good chocolate and that if you want to enjoy the view from the top, you have to hike up the mountain. She has two amazing kids and the unconditional love of her Border Collie, Max. Nancy's a USA today bestselling author of more than 60 novels. When she's not writing, she's hiking, skiing, traveling or sipping wine. She's appeared on the front page of the New York Times (when her book, Speed Dating launched Harlequin's NASCAR series), has been a clue in a crossword puzzle (National Post, Canada) and she's been a double finalist for the RITA award, won a Romantic Times award and often shares her love of writing in her popular workshops. In 2013 The Christmas Grandma Ran Away from Home was a Kindle Book Review Indie Award finalist. Her novel, Blueprint for a Kiss, Take a Chance, book 3 is a finalist in the short contemporary category of the RITA aw
