This is a short graphic novel written by Neil Gaiman, and illustrated by Dave McKean. When this was originally published in 1987, it was in Black & White; This is the first American color edtion. A narrator tells how a small child in Portsmouth is taken by his father to be treated by an Osteopath who once was employed by Al Capone. The nature of the narrator's relationship with his father, the tales the osteopath tells, and the disturbing events that follow are partially obscured by the narrator's imperfect recall of things he was not old enough to fully comprehend at the time.
