All's Well That Ends Well is a Comedy written by English playwright William Shakespeare, who is widely considered to be the greatest writer of the English language. Lord Bertram agrees but leaves to fight in Italy, in a war in which he hopes to die. Helena travels to Florence, trades places with his mistress Diana, and tricks Lord Bertram into sleeping with her. Thinking that he is sleeping with Diana, Lord Bertram sleeps with Helena, securing their marital bond.
