As You Like It is truly one of Shakespeare's greatest romantic comedies. It is a pastoral comedy by William Shakespeare based on the novel Rosalynde by Thomas Lodge, believed to have been written in 1599 or early 1600. It features one of Shakespeare's most famous and oft-quoted lines, "All the world's a stage", And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.
