Hamlet Annotated

William Shakespeare

Overview

The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark is a misfortune composed by William Shakespeare somewhere in the range of 1599 and 1602. Set in the Kingdom of Denmark, the play performs the retribution Prince Hamlet claims on his uncle Claudius for killing King Hamlet, Claudius' sibling and Prince Hamlet's dad, and afterward prevailing to the seat and taking as his significant other Gertrude, the old ruler's widow and Prince Hamlet's mom. The play strikingly depicts both valid and faked frenzy—from overpowering pain to fuming rage—and investigates subjects of injustice, retribution, inbreeding, and good debasement.
