Months ago, I found myself reading more at the strip club I was dancing at, because customers stopped traveling to Las Vegas, so unfortunately I had more time to read. There were no disturbances, no distraction, no customers. Zero. No one wants to spend a dime unless it is for a $2.00 bottle a beer sold for happy hour. I found myself writing in my diary near the Student Union, because I stopped going to work. Why go? There were no customers. But then the weirdest thing happened. The guys that served up my brew told me their Summerlin cafe was going out of business along with the coffee shop in Boulder, Henderson, and Pahrump. "We're closing three stores, opening a new store by UNLV." University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Then he said, "Check out UNLV! They have night classes for adults." Writing, short stories, novels - UNLV was teaching every skill from how to manage your mortgage to computer programs. Well, I like reading novels. Why not write? Make friends outside of the sex industry?
