The publisher, however, decided not to publish <b>Northanger Abbey</b>, and eventually sold it back to Jane Austen's brother for £10. <b>Northanger Abbey</b> eventually made it to publication in late 1817 / early 1818.</p> <p><b>Northanger Abbey</b> was actually the first of Jane Austen's novels to be completed.
