Persuasion was Jane Austen's last fully completed novel.It was published in late 1817, six months after her death.The story tells the story of Anne Elliot, a 27-year-old youngBritish woman, as the war ends, sailors come ashore, and herfamily begins to cut expenses and get out of debt. They rentedthe house to an admiral and his wife. The lady's brother, CaptainFrederick Wentworth, was engaged to Anne in 1806, and they are nowreunited, single or single, after more than seven years apart.It's the backdrop for many humorous encounters, and Anne Elliott'ssecond considered opportunity for love and marriage in her second "bloom."
