While on a Caribbean cruise with her grandmother, Rosie meets Neil, a baseball fan, and a boy who introduces himself as Ricky Diago. Later, when Rosie and Neil see Ricky's uncle, Neil swears Mr. Diago is a famous Cuban baseball player for the Cincinnati Reds. Rosie finds herself caught in a high-stakes adventure of international intrigue.
