The year is 2000, and Melly and Anny Beth are near the end of their natural lives when they are selected to participate in Project Turnabout. Turnabout's injections make them grow younger, though at some point all the participants are to receive another injection which will stop the unaging process. But everyone who receives the second shot dies. So Melly and Anny Beth leave the project to live on their own. Now, in 2085, they are in their teens and will soon grow too young to take care of themselves. They need to find caretakers -- before time runs out.
