This book contains thirty-six experiments designed to show some ways in which a chemist obtains information by experiment and then uses the data collected to draw conclusions about the properties and behaviors of matter. The experiments selected illustrate a variety of modern experimental data-gathering techniques, while helping the student learn not merely to perform these techniques, but also to observe, to correlate, and interpret data, and to think and act in the laboratory situation.
